Our Agreement
By booking with GetomOmoValley Tours, you’re not simply reserving a seat—you’re entering into a commitment to explore Ethiopia through authentic, meaningful experiences. These Terms & Conditions define our partnership, covering participation, payment terms, expectations, and responsibilities.
What’s Included in Your Tour
Every GetomOmoValley Tours package is thoughtfully curated to blend adventure with cultural depth. Unless otherwise specified in your booking confirmation, your tour includes:

Accommodation: Carefully selected hotels, eco-lodges, or traditional guesthouses that reflect the charm and diversity of Ethiopia.

Transportation: Safe, modern vehicles that ensure comfort and reliability, whether you’re exploring the Omo Valley or the highlands.

Expert Guides: Knowledgeable local guides who share Ethiopia’s stories, heritage, and hidden gems with passion.

Meals: A selection of traditional Ethiopian dishes like wot and injera, along with some international options (as detailed in your itinerary).

Activities: Iconic experiences—visiting tribal villages, exploring rock-hewn churches, witnessing unique cultural ceremonies, and much more.
Exclusions: International flights (unless stated), visa fees, personal expenses (e.g., souvenirs), travel insurance, tips/gratuities, and any services not explicitly listed. A detailed list will be included in your itinerary.
Booking & Payment
How to Book

Fill out our online booking form or contact us directly.

Pay a 30% deposit to confirm your reservation.

The remaining balance is due 60 days before your tour begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment Options
We accept payments via bank transfer in USD, Euro, GBP, or ETB. Bank details will be provided upon booking.
Last-Minute Bookings
For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Pricing Details
Our prices reflect the richness of your journey—factoring in logistics, expert guidance, and cultural depth. Prices quoted at the time of booking are guaranteed and will not change unless a significant cost increase arises.
Surcharges
In rare cases, such as substantial fuel or tax increases, a surcharge may apply with a minimum 30-day notice.
Solo Travelers
If you prefer private accommodation, a single supplement fee will apply (details available in your quote).
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. If you cancel your tour:

More than 30 days before departure: A $500 per person cancellation fee applies.

15 to 30 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost is non-refundable.

Less than 15 days before departure: The full tour cost is non-refundable.
Please note that airline tickets may be non-refundable based on airline policy.
If GetomOmoValley Tours cancels the trip due to unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters), you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Modifications & Flexibility
Tour Adjustments
If you need to adjust your booking, we’ll do our best to accommodate. Changes may be subject to additional fees, depending on availability.
Itinerary Changes
If we must modify your itinerary due to unforeseen conditions (e.g., weather or road closures), we will offer an equally exciting alternative. Minor changes are part of the adventure—no refunds apply.
Travel Requirements
To ensure a smooth journey:

Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.

Visa: Tourists are responsible for securing a visa. We’ll guide you, but the application must be completed by you.

Health: Check vaccination requirements (e.g., yellow fever) and bring any necessary medications. Be prepared for altitude, heat, and remote conditions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is mandatory, covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and evacuation. No insurance = no participation.
Tour Conduct
We want every journey to be respectful, enriching, and safe:

Cultural Etiquette: Dress modestly at religious sites, ask permission before taking photos of locals, and respect community norms.

Safety: Always follow your guide’s instructions, especially in remote or unfamiliar areas.

Packing: Bring sturdy footwear, layered clothing, and sun protection. A full packing list will be provided.

Hydration: Drink plenty of water and stay alert. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the tour at your own expense.
Risks & Liability
Traveling in Ethiopia, especially in remote regions, carries inherent risks such as rugged terrain, political shifts, or health issues. By joining our tours, you accept these risks. GetomOmoValley Tours’ liability is limited to the cost of your tour, in accordance with Ethiopian law.
Nature & Wildlife
Enjoy Ethiopia’s rich biodiversity—gelada baboons, endemic birds, and the Ethiopian wolf. Always:

Never feed animals.

Follow guide instructions—nature is raw and real.
Photography & Media
Feel free to capture your memories! If GetomOmoValley Tours captures photos/videos during the tour that include you, we may request permission to use them in promotional materials. Let us know if you prefer not to be included—we respect your privacy.
Force Majeure
In the event of natural disasters, political unrest, or global disruptions, we will offer a refund for unused services or help you reschedule. Please note: additional rebooking costs (e.g., flights) will be your responsibility. Flexibility is key to adventure!
Feedback & Complaints
Your feedback matters. If an issue arises during your tour, inform your guide immediately. For unresolved concerns, please submit a written complaint within 30 days after your tour. We promise to address it thoroughly and respectfully.
Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Ethiopian law, with any disputes to be settled in the courts of Addis Ababa.
